Earthquake

For those of you visiting after hearing of the earthquake yesterday in Chile, thank you so much for thinking of my Chilean family. I was so relieved to hear that they are all safe! The death toll in Chile is climbing, with last I read just over 700. The destruction is terrible in many places, but because of previous earthquakes, the building codes, thankfully, are quite strict, so many buildings did survive. My Chilean mother told me that their apartment held up very well. Thank you again for keeping them, and Chile in your prayers.

This website is to a Chilean newspaper. I included it because it has a large slideshow, and a picture from the city I lived in, Valparaiso.
